The proposed development
EcoPower Suffolk Solar is a proposed solar and energy storage development that would generate clean, renewable electricity and have an anticipated export capacity of about 250MW.
The development includes:
- solar panels
- battery energy storage
- supporting infrastructure to connect to the electricity network.
Once built, the proposed development would generate enough electricity to power about 75,000 homes.
Our consultation, which ran from 22 June to 16 August 2026, has now closed. We would like to thank everyone who contributed to the consultation and provided feedback.
We are now in the process of analysing all responses received. Your feedback will help shape the final design before we submit an application for development consent.
